Is there nay way to Tackle with NSD Error in Notes6

HI,

There are four files related to this error.

names.nsf, desktop.ndk, notes.ini, bookmark.nsf.

if any one of the above file is corrupted then you will get this error.

to avoid this error just uninstall and reinstall the notes but you should not copy any one of the above files after installation.

Subject: NSD is not specific to those four files. NSD is the tool that collects errors when Notes encounters a problem, allowing support to help diagnose what is wrong.

If that were true you have either an extremely stable environment or very poor developers. :slight_smile:

truein my experience NSD errors that occur during the development stage of a database are generally related to the development process.

if an NSD error occurs long time after the database has gone live, its obviosly the system or environment

I guess I should clarify that…

I only ever get it when I click on folder link. Not sure how this relates to poor db dev???

Hi,

A NSD is written when Notes or Domino crashes. So to get rid of the NSD the problem causing the application to crash has to be located. This is done by studying the NSD file written on your system (search for NSD*), research can be done by your self or with help from Lotus Support.
