How to avoid copy and paste on the view?

Hello, I have a problem with the clients, they like to copy and paste documents on the view, the thing is I used the view (Number) to gereated Number automatically based on the created date, if there are many documents have the same numbers and doing the edit whenever they like, the number was generated will be mixed up, so, is there any way to avoid the users to copy and paste on the view? How to assign Access to the view to control editing?

The other thing is, I would like to know what is the meaning of the icon beside the view, it is similar to de icon for default view, but the color is grey?

Just add this to the querypaste event of your view:

Msgbox “Copying and pasting prohibited.”, 16, “Copying and pasting prohibited”

Continue = False

The icon is an indicator the view is hidden.
