Hello everyone,
On our servers we have users with different mail file templates (version 5, version 6 and version 8.5). We are currently running Domino 8.5 and all the mail file templates version 5 are not working properly. What is the best method to upgrade all the version 5 mail templates to version 6 without affecting the other mail files?

Couldn’t you use the Load Convert command?
Load Convert mail*.nsf mail5.ntf mail6.ntf
I think that would work, but you may want to research it a little more. Another method could be to set a policy:

load convert mail\ * Mail85.ntf
This Command Converts all Files in the Mail folder regardless the current Template, to Mail8.5
Be aware i think theres a Bug, that people can’t change their Signature if u upgrade to Mail8.5 and they dont have a 8.5 Client.

That’s hardly a bug - the technotes specify that you shouldn’t use a mail template higher than your client version.
That’s why using the policy, as described in the previous post, is a good idea.
You can also use load convert on a specific set of files as well. Check the administrator help for the options
