Our Notes setup includes a few different Notes domains including “US” for U.S. users and “EU” for European users. We’ve been accessing Notes databases through web and email for a couple of years now, and it works fine with one exception:
People in one domain cannot log into a Domino server to view databases or get email (via POP or IMAP) in the other domain. We have an extended directory which acts as a company-wide address book for both domains, so every server in all domains has the login username and password for every user in the company in that extended directory or address book.
This has been a real annoyance for us as sysadmins since we can use webadmin.nsf on our own domain, but not the other domains. Now it’s more urgent because we have users trying to access their mail on a US domain server, but they can’t because they are in the EU domain.
There’s no problem with their access to the same servers and databases using the Notes client, just when trying to access via web browser or email client (email client is on a PDA phone).
I’ve tried everything I could find including creating a Web Single-Sign-On document on the server we are trying to access, but nothing has worked.
Any ideas?
