into a newly created Notes email letter? I can’t find this function from Notes Client 8.

Only files can be attached to a document. E-mails (and other Notes documents) cannot be stored as files, so they cannot be saved to the OS file system and cannot be attached.
They can be forwarded though, which copies them into the body of the new memo.
There is one exception to the above - documents can be saved in “One-Note Databases” (?) which are files, and can be attached to document. But I’ve never used them, and I don’t know how they are created - a quick search of the help did not find anything.
