How to apply rules to incoming mail by connecting server?

Hi,

I’d like to use Rules and filter based on connecting server.

Based on what I’ve read (e.g. here: IBM Developer) this should be possible by using “DNS Whitelist Filters” with option “Log and tag message”.

I’ve tried this with several different whitelist providers (e.g. list.dnswl.org, query.bondedsender.org, hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com). The result is always that the mail is delivered but there is no $DNSWLSite item in the memo doc as there should be. I’ve restarted the router after each change.

Has anyone gotten the tagging to work?

thanks,

Subject: Use a rule for DNS Black list instead

My suggestion will be - Since there is no $DNSWLSite tag in a memo, then you can treat all the memo are white list by default, except those has $DNSBLSite tag. You can check w/ the DNS Black list provider.

Then you can setup a mail rule to process the special case - when it’s in DNS Black list

I’ll also forward your problem to server team, to see if they can provide other suggestions.
