How many values?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to get the number of values that are in a multi value field? What I’m trying to do is transfer those values into another multivalue field on another form.

strDep = doc.Departments(0)

ELDoc.Departments = strDep

But this only brings in the first value…how would i get the rest transferred in?

Subject: How many values?

Option 1 - copy the values from one item to another:

call ELDoc.replaceItemValue( “Departments”, doc.getItemValue( “Departments” ) )

Option 2 - copy the entire item from one doc to another:

call ELDoc.copyItem( doc.getFirstItem( “Departments” ), “” )

Subject: Look into ReplaceItemValue in Help DB

ReplaceItemValue Method

Syntax
Set notesItem = notesDocument.ReplaceItemValue( itemName$, value )

You can pass the item itself as the “value” parameter. That way the multi-value field will copy over with all it’s attributes and values.
