How many no. of rules can be set

Hi all

how many system mail rules and user mail rules can be applied in a domino server 8.5?

i found in an article that we can not apply system mail rules more than 100. Because system rules works on the mail.box and more rules means more monitoring which will cause performance degradation.

is the above condition also true for user mail rules created by user in their mail files?

If we have approx 600 users, and if i set 1 rule in each mail file, then total user mail rules will be around 600.

Will these 600 user mail rules cause any performance issue on domino server 8.5

I believe the limit for a single mail file is 10. 1 in each mail file should be fine.

But in case of production environment where there are large number of notes user, there is a possibility for more than 1 rule creation per mail file.I found in ibm document that domino version 7.0 and 8.0 recommends not more than 100 user rule per mail file and system mail rules.

what about v8.5?
