Hello,
I have been tasked with putting a presentation about how Notes mail works, from the time it enters the system and gets to the mail files and vica versa. I know how it works, I learned it the hard way a few years ago. But I need something that explains it with some text and pictures. I suppose I can do it myself, but I know there has to be something like this out there somewhere.
Does anyone know where I can find a pdf doc or anything else that explains basic mail functions in Domino with pictures? It would spare me the Word and Powerpoint work, and I’m a horrible artist. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thank you for your help.

Cool! Check out the Admin Help, “How Mail Routes in a Domino System” Pictures, words, everything you need.
Have fun!

Thanks, I did see that and will use it. But this presentation needs to be 30 minutes, so I was hoping for something longer and prettier that really spells it out for a beginner (kind of like those course manuals you get in the Lotus Education Courses, but of course, I dont have those). Isn’t there something on the Lotus site or anywhere else that has something? Like if someone was new, wouldent that help document be a little too complicated or intimidating?
Thank you for your help.

Ahh, but can’t you “dumb” it down for your users? That should take at least 30 minutes, explaining, in very simple terms, how this all works. Don’t you think?
Also, you may want to give a basic overview of how mail routes. Then add in the Domino specific stuff, the Router, mail.box, individual mail files instead of a giant messaging store, server rules, Blacklists, etc.
I really think that you have at least 30 minutes of stuff. I don’t think that for Domino, you will find anything simpler than the Help Database.
HTH.
