The font in DDE’s Application pane is miniscule on a 1600x1200 21" monitor. Same with the design element listing, such as when the Forms are listed in the “main” area. The Controls pane is different; text there is about 1.5x the size of the Applications pane, and about the size I’m looking for.- It shouldn’t be a huge effort to find out where to change this. Ideally one would right-click on the “Applications” pane title, where Size, Move, etc appear, and pane preferences would be listed as an option. But it’s not. (Size on this menu is not even size at all, it’s pane position - top, left, right , bottom. That’s about counterintuitive.)

So I have to open File → Preferences, which gives a monstrously huge list of things to change. I type “font” into the filter dialog. (the properties filter is simply awesome - this would be utterly unmanageable without it) I see this:
Fonts
General → Appearance → Colors and Fonts
IBM Lotus Symphony (should be irrelevent to DDE)
Fonts has Normal and a blurb about this only changing the text size for the “data area”, giving Inbox as an example. I have to say that doesn’t look applicable to a DDE setting.
General → Appearance → Colors and Fonts has a teeny tiny box swimming in the middle of a huge wasted space, and that tiny box has a bewildering array of essentially unexplained settings. For instance, “Structured Text Editors” is a font setting whose Description says “The Structured text editor font is used by Structured text editors.” Well DUHH.

This also has a list of what appears to be a hundred things like “Composite Application Navigator Viewer Font” that have no Description. No loss, considering the above, but changing various potential font sizes and clicking “Apply” have NO EFFECT.

So how does one change the Application pane font size from pseudo-microscopic to merely tiny?
