How does DAOS operate after disabling

Hello,

I am wondering if DAOS is enabled, attachments go to the store, and then disabled, what happens then when someone accesses a link that points to the file in DAOS?

Will it at least get the file even if disabled? I am hearing that it will but I need a definite answer.

And if that last question is yes it will access the file in store then I need to know that if in this scenario this would only be read access to get the file or is it possible that DAOS can write to the store?

Thank you

Admin Help is a good place to look.

“Because DAOS was previously enabled, file attachments exist in the DAOS repository, and are read when documents containing them are retrieved. New copies of any attachments, whether or not the originals are already stored in DAOS, are stored in documents instead of in the DAOS repository.”

The NLO files are read only.
