Hello,How to I stop the annoying message bubbles when I mouse over the icons on the left hand icon column of my inbox?

Subject: Turn it off in Preferences

Go to File->Preferences->Basic Notes Client Configuration. In Additional options, uncheck “Enable Icon Popup Help in View”.

Subject: This does not work…

  • I have this unchecked, and yet I see tool tips in the client. I’ve been asking for months how to get tool tips turned off. Nothing works in either the client or DDE, in two different installations, and nothing ever has worked under 8.5x. I realize this isn’t a fatal flaw, but one does sort of expect that the preferences settings be honored…

Subject: Tools → Business Card

I assume you mean the Business Card information that’s new in Notes 8.5.1.Disable it by selecting Tools → Business Card → Disable Business Card.
