Previous version allowed me to highlight an e-mail in my inbox and then use the space bar to select it or click in the far left column. After I selected several emails to move to the same folder, I would then select a folder from the “move to folder” drop down, select the folder I wanted them to go to and click move or add. BIG time saver and now I don’t have that option?

You can do it in 8.5 too.
Just hold ‘Ctrl’ while moving through your inbox and press Spacebar to select a document. Selected documents will be highlighted.
And you can select the folder to which you want them to be moved to or added to.
