How do I move a Verisign SSL Certificate?

I’m planning on rebuilding a server on a new platform and want to make sure there’s nothing tricky about moving the certificate.

I did not build the server or install the certificate, so I’m not exactly sure how the cert works. I plan on keeping the same computer name and using the notes.ini to keep all the settings the same.

Is it as easy as just moving the keyfile.kyr & keyfile.sth file over?

The short answer is Yes. Basically as long as your domain name is the same (for web access to the server) the certificate will work. The notes server name and computer name are not relevant.

Are you using SSL for anything else? If you are make sure that you carry the appropriate files across as well.
