How do I make a users primary server the first one in the stack?

Hi, We are migrating our 6 servers to 2 more powerful one but we are keeping the same “amount” of servers. Our current cluster setup is somewhat complicated as the load is shared among the machines. Example: replica’s from mail01 can be found on either mail02, 03 or 04, and vice versa. Our new structure will have specific clustering with mail01->mail02, mail03->mail04 etc…

So… Currently a user on mail01 can have a replica on mail03 and another user on mail01 can have a replica on mail04. I want to be able to send users a button with some script that will put their home server on top of the stack on the users workspace. Any suggestions as how to go about it?

Feel free to email me at michelm@ca.ibm.com

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Ask your Lotus colleagues.

I was involved in a mail migration project at their no. 1 account back in the last century. IBM/Lotus supplied a little C-API .exe that frigged the users desktop icon based on the contents of a text file (can’t remember now).

Hi Gerry,

Are you talking of Dsktool?

Subject: Sounds like the tool

I can’t remember what it was called but Dsktool sounds like the thing we were given (ISTR it was small enough to be a .com file but that may be wrong).
