Our clients all have either Notes 7 or 8 clients with a HTTP proxy setting in their location documents set to “proxy:8080”. We no longer have a proxy server and wish to delete the proxy setting from all clients using a desktop policy document. The problem is the policy setting for HTTP proxy (under the proxies tab) only seems to apply when there is a value entered in the policy setting. This is fine if I was wanting to change our proxy server from server a to server b. How can I delete the proxy setting using a desktop policy all together without having to get all clients to manually change their location document?
I have tried just entering a " " space in the HTTP proxy setting but when this setting is pushed out the client then tries looking for a proxy server called " ":8080. I just want to remove the proxy altogether.
