When a user rolls over an appointment in the standard mail template’s calendar view, a popup appears with more information about the appointment. How can I add this feature to my own calendar view (Notes client).

Just include the information in the view’s columns. The pop-up is automatic. Use the “number of lines” setting to increase the amount of info displayed.
