How can I use Smart Card for "Single Sign-On" solution?

Hi,all, thanks in advance for your assistance. My environment have many applications built on Notes Server and Sybase DB Server. We are trying to use SmartCard to single-sign-on onto all these Applications.

Currently, I met a problem to make Notes client to be one of the applications to use smartcard to authenticate users while he/she launches the Notes client.

We hope that we can preventing users from entering username and passwordwhile launching the notes client on the windows platforms.

The smartcard mechanism is made by a PKI vendor and they need to know how to “plug” their agent between launching the Notes client and the Notes client trying to authenticate with users so that the agent can send the “ticket” to the PKI mechanism itself.

Please guide me how can i do or where can I find information for?
