My statrep.nsf file is growing so fast, it is rediculous. I don’t need the information that is in there, at least not right now. It is growing at about 11 or 12 documents a second.
I looked in the notes.ini file, and I do not see “collect” on the servertasks line.
I went into events4.nsf and thought I disabled it.
Then I have restarted the server several times, and it still grows…out of control.
I would like to understand what each line is telling me, but this information is not easy to find.
Please tell me how to stop this.

I think you are looking at wrong place and you don’t need to stop your collector task!!maybe you need to configure your Statistic Collector server task and event handler documents.
In Lotus Domino administrator help you can find information about the Monitoring the Domino system.
In notes administrator → configuration ->monitoring configuration you can find Monitoring configuration documents.
Events handlers and server statistic Collection section are important for you!!!

Yeah, well I can’t seem to START mine! Ever since upgrading from 5 to 6, it runs when I load from the domino administrator, but the ServerTasks entries that I thought would load this task don’t do it. These task names I used are:
Stats,REPORT
plus in ServerTasksAt3, i have STATLOG
As well I can decipher the admin help, “Stats” is the task that injects periodic usage statitics into the server’s log.nsf, and “Report” should be the one that logs to the Statrep.nsf. Statlog I’m not sure sure about.
Unfortunately the task names for this feature as displayed in the console, the pretty panel, in the admin help docs and in the dom admin “Start New Task” tool are all different. the one I want is called “Statistic Collector” in the GUI tool. I still have the events4.nsf “Statistics Collection” configuration set as it was in r5, and when I load the task “manually” with admin panel tool, it works according to the config - it logs stats every 4 hours to statrep.nsf.
But when our servers get their weekly reboots, the stats stop.
does anybody know how to make this program run on schedule?

Hi, you should even have the Collect task in your ini file:ServerTasks=ROUTER,REPLICA,ADMINP,HTTP,ICM,COLLECT
