How can i get the same domino server configuration

Hi,

I have a domino Server on a Win NT4, and i wanna have the same Server on a Win 2000 (Same parameters).

Do you think that if i install the same server on 2000 without configurating it, and copy the data dir from the Win NT4 to W2000 : would it works (ServerName, Web Server , etc… )

In other words, how could i have the same installation without re-setting parameters on the 2nd installation ?

Rachid,

Copy your notes.ini, names.nsf, cert.id, server.id (unless you have a new server name).

You may need to slightly hack your notes.ini to change the pathing and the name of the server, but that’s all written plainly in the file, so easy enough to do.

As long as you keep the drive letters and the name the same it is simple.

Install Domino on to the new server in the same directory as the other then simply copy the domino files from the original server over the top of the new server. Start the new server and there it is.

I have done this on many occasions.
