How can I delete Private Views in a database?

Hi

I have a database which current contains some 2000 private views, its a global database and the private views have been replicated to all servers. This is causing a problem as the private views are being updated by the index task and it takes hours to complete, and whilst running consumes 100% cpu.

The original Private View has been removed, so no new ones can be created but this still leaves 2000 private view elemants in the database. Is there a way to remove this? I can see them in NotesPeek but not from the client or designer client.

Any advice would be most welcome.

You could try this :

  • Create a template of the database by making a new copy of it.

  • Do a replcae design.
