Dear sir, I’d like to access data from DB2 (AS400 system).
Now I use connection via ODBC, but I must setup ODBC on every client.
Would you like to suggest the better method? It should be easy setup, and free license.
My system information:
Lotus Notes Server :
OS :Windows 2000 Server
Notes Version :Domino 6.5
DB2 Server :
Model : 520/9406
0S/400 Version : V5R3
Thanks,

Why not use connection resources?
In designer, look under “shared resources” in your database. You will see an option called “Data Connections”.
I’ve never used them on a live system but the idea is to use these instead of setting up ODBC connections on each PC.
Hope that helps
Ben

Look at using the LC LSX and a RunOnServer Agent. No client install required and no licence a it’s part of the Domino Server.

You can also install the ODBC client on the Domino server.
