This may be a simple/dumb question. But I’ve got a user with an hourglass icon in front of their person doc in the domino directoy people view. What does this mean?

I think it’s related to Roaming. Check to see if the User Can Roam field reads “In Process” on the Roaming tab of the user’s Person document. If so, once the user logs in, additional processes will take place which will eventually update the icon to a globe icon.

That is exactly what it is, roaming user. Lotus is in the process of upgrading the user to a roaming profile. I have a few people that have had that for quite sometime, even though they have logged in and back out. If this is the case, you will need to downgrade them to a non-roaming user and when that is complete, upgrade them to roaming again, if you like.You can downgrade them, by going to people & groups tab, highlighting the user, then select “roaming” on the tools menu. It will ask you if you want to downgrade, select yes. After a few minutes, the hourglass should disappear and you can try to upgrade them again.
