I want to provide a hotspot on a web form, that says “click here”
When the user clicks, some fields below the hotspot will be visible and the screen will scroll down.
I can unhide the fields, but the screen jumps to the top.
I can scroll down without unhiding the fields.
Can’t seem to do both.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Becky
Subject: hotspot on web to unhide and scroll
Hi Becky,
Sounds like you might need to use javascript to hide and unhide elements on the web form. Perhaps this will get you started…
Create a div element on the page and set it to hide by default-
Create your own link that runs a javascript function to unhide the div element (not my javascript!)-
Show layer
Hide layer
For the scrolling down behaviour,try
window.location.href=“#anchorname”;
