Hi,
I had a need to place a text pop-up hotspot over a computed-for-display checkbox field today. I discovered that once you’d placed the hotspot, there was no way of going back and editing it. Placing the cursor on the field or either side of the field sing either with the mouse or the keyboard would not cause DDE to recognize that there was a hotspot there, and wouldn’t display the Hotspot context menu.
DDE knew that there was a hotspot there, because it wouldn’t let me create another one on top. If I selected the field and then hit ALT+ENTER to open properties, it would open the properties box so I could edit the hotspot, but there was no Menu or right-click item to enable me to remove the hotspot.
Seemed to do the same thing with a formula pop-up, but not link or action hotspots. Also, it didn’t seem to make a difference which field type the hotspot was over.
The way I got round this was by putting a space after the field and making sure the hotspot was over that as well as the field.
Emily.
