Since welcome page deployment does not support transfer of design elements… Is there a way to keep the home page (bookmarks.nsf) database from opening in the 8.5.1 Client on start up? Maybe in the ini or the Desktop settings? My goal is to keep it from opening and use the StartupDB variable in the ini so I can use custom framesets.
Subject: Fixed but another issue.
I figured out that I did not need to have a custom frameset and was able to set up a corporate welcome page using these instructions: IBM Developer. The issue now is the initial Lotus Notes 8.5 Setup page that appears. This allows users to click the “Create my own” home page and then have it set as the default. So the new question is: How can I avoid the setup page that appears instead of the default page.
