I was using previously Notes 8.0.2 client (and earlier clients) and all would refresh all the views in my custom Home Page when I pressed F9. In Notes 8.5 client, F9 refresh is broken and does not work. It is only working in the individual DB views, but from within the Home Page, it does not work at all. Please fix it. It makes the Home Page unusable, especially when I am viewing e-mail.

Have you tried using F5 instead of F9? Supposedly the same functionality but now ‘standardizing’ with the rest of the world on the refresh button.

Both do not work. Honestly, F5 used to lock the Notes client and F9 would refresh. Both are useful and should be kept this way. Most people who use Notes client have used it before. yes the refresh is not the same as Windows Explorer, but I’d rather be backward compatible than change to pacify newcomers.

I confirmed F5 does refresh now inside individual DB’s, as well as F9. So, now we have two ways to refresh and no way to lock the Notes Client quickly. Or do we? Pleas tell…
To confirm, both F5 and F9 do not work in the Home page still.

CTRL+F5 will lock the notes ID, but it will not erase the screen…just lock its use.
You mention a ‘custom’ home page. How is it configured?

Confirmed on the Ctrl-F5.
My Home Page is setup with 3 panes. Top right shows my e-mail calendar (we use Notes 7.0.3 mail template). Top left pane shows a custom internal DB and view we have. Bottom pane shows my All Documents view of my Notes mail DB.
