Can anyone please guide, on how to hide the “Sent by” that appears in the header while sending a mail to users from a mail in db.
I am using the 6.5 version of notes.
I am able to hide teh sent by field by suing teh hide-when properties, but it is only good when i compose the mail or view the sent mail in db. As soon as the mail is sent to a user , the user is still able to see the “Sent by:” information in the header. The only think I want to be visible is the mail in db name i.e. the db owner name.
I have tried searching the forum for the above problem, but unfortunately couldnt find anything.
Would be also helpful if you could point me to any post which is already present in the forum.
Eventhough you have made the option of hiding the Sender’s name on the MailIN Db, but you would require to modify the same in the Mail template of the user whom u r sending the mail.
Basically, you would require to modify the design of the Mail template. But. it will create an issue as many users might want to see who has sent the mail.
The “Sent By” is usually the signer of the code that is sending the message. One way to get rid of this is to create the email document directly in the mail.box database on the server. Don’t send it but “Save” it with the necessary delivery fields set (SendTo, CopyTo, etc). The server will pick up and deliver the message without including the “Sent By”…
