I have a workflow database, in one field can be confidential information and need to be hidden from some users. I want a real hide of information , I don’t want to view the information in Document Properties.My first choice was to encrypt the field but database has 200+ users and administrative effort is too high.
Any suggestions ?

Use readers fields to hide information you do not want people to access. Only allow the access to those fields by specific name.

Is to create a separate response doc, with a readers field on it, that contains this info
You are quite right that controlled access sections do not prevent users looking at field values with the infobox (or file export as structured text) but if they can’t see the response doc, they can’t see the value in that field
