Hide Attachments from Notes Client

This topic has come up numerous times, yet I could not find any definitive answer if its been solved.

Problem: How to hide attachments that are submitted via a web browser (File Upload Control) from users on Notes Clients.

I’ve tried $V2AttachmentOptions but that only seems to affect hiding from a web browser which doesn’t help any.

I’ve tried adding a Rich Text Field called $File and hiding it, putting it on subforms and hiding those… none seemed to work.

Has anyone gotten a solution to work where a user submits a file via a web browser and it is hidden when accessed via Notes Clients?

I dont know if this would work but it worth a try.While saving the document from web if we transfer the attachment from $FILE to another RTF field in the form and then remove the attachment from $FILE field.Now we need to hide the RTF field.As suggested in the forum you can hide the RTF field by using a section putting the RTF field in it and hiding that section.

Hidding the section works fine!!! No attachments are shown in the document richttext neither in the bottom section of the document.
