Hello-
Is there a way to hide a person from address lookups?
Say I want to forward a terminated user’s mail. I can set up the forwarding in the NAB/Directory but I want to have them disappear from the list of mail users in address lookups. That will prevent users from trying to email the terminated user.
Another example - I have numerous admin functional accounts. I want them to be able to receive mail from various senders, but not appear to users as addressable in mail, etc.
I know how to do this (quite easily) in Active Directory/Exchange. I figure there must be a way to do the same in Domino/Notes.
Thanks much!
Subject: Steps to hide person document in NAB
Here are the steps to hide person document in NAB
Open the People view in the Domino directory.
Right click on the person document to hide and select the Document properties option.
Navigatge to the tab with the key icon.
Under the Who can read this document, uncheck “All readers and above”
Make sure and manually select LocalDomainServers, LocalDomainAdmins and any other people/groups that should be able to continue to see the document. If you don’t do this you could loose all access to the document.
Subject: set $Readers
(Use an agent or something to) set a $Readers field on the person document. Be sure to include your LocalDomainServers and Admin groups in the $Readers field.
