I have a form that has 10 consecutive sections. By default all these sections are hidden when a new document is created. Based on some selections the user makes in the document header, one of these sections are displayed and the other 9 remain hidden. My problem is that the hidden sections are still occupying space (one line) on the form causing a large blank section to be displayed in the form. What are my choices to get around this ?

I have not had a problem hiding the section, but you also need to hide the line between the sections.
Collapse all your sections, and check the hide-whens. I found problems if the sections are right up against each other with no lines between - it works better to have a blank line which is always hidden.
Alternatively - unless these are access control sections (i.e. it is just for display purposes), then investigate a programmable table or layers.

Did you hide the section itself? Not just the fields or table held within? Did you check to see if you need to hide any lines that fall between the sections?
