Help with solving Invalid or non-existent documents

For the passed 6 month ive been getting loads of invalid or non-existent documents in mailboxes and calendars.

Where do they come from why do they happen. I know how to correct the error using fixup but this loses the mail.

Can some one give me a clue.

P.s would using a machine image with LN installed cause this issue ?

The problem occurs when view / folder indexes become corrupt and although documents are deleted from the database the pointers to them remain in the views as the view indexes are not updating.

You should actually run the UPDALL task on the server to correct the indexes. Running fixup will not fix view indexes and the problem will recur again.

Issue the following command on your server:

LOAD UPDALL -R

This will rebuild all views in all database.
