Help with Schduled Agents - Julie K if you are in?

I have a scheduled agent, signed by the administrator id, and set to run on behalf of the administrator with “Allow restricted operations with Full Administration rights”.

This agent runs fine when locally triggered.

This agent runs fine in Test mode on the server.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing:

This agent runs fine when manually triggered on the server console using the command Tell amgr run “database name” ‘agent name’. I believe this is the ultimate test to see if the security was set up properly. It is!

When I do a “sh sched -agents”, the agent does not show up. There are about 18 different agents that shows up when I run this command on the server console.

The agent is scheduled to run every 10 mins and it has been 30 mins and the log still shows “This agent has never been run before”.

I am completely lost. Can someone tell me how I can get this agent to run without having to restart agent manager? There are currently

Thanks for any and all inputs in advanced.

My name’s not Julie but…

Is the agent actually scheduled to run on the server in question? (Agent Properties → Schedule → Run On)

Hello…

Yes. It is scheduled to run on that server. This database only resides on that one server.

Thank you for your help…

Is the database setting ‘Disable background agents from this database’, set?

Ooops, double post, double post.

Subject: Help with Schduled Agents - Julie K if you are in ?

  1. Is the agent ENABLED ?2) Is the agent in an NSF or NTF file - NTF’s don’t run scheduled agents unless you add a notes.ini option (6.0.5 or newer) INI_RUN_TEMPLATE_AGENTS=1

You can enter the Agent Manager debug at the console to see if it erroring out:

tell amgr debug *

You will get a lot more stuff in the Log, but for the short term, this might help.
