Help with Internet Site Config Please?

I am having serious problems with the Internet Site Configuration Doc.I have configured an internet site for every protocol in the list.

In my log I keep getting

01/23/2004 08:25:40 SMTP Server [11896:00008-05126] Connection attempted on uai, but not configured in SMTP Internet Site Document

01/23/2004 08:25:40 SMTP Server: 10.5.1.32 disconnected. 0 message[s] received

01/23/2004 08:25:42 SMTP Server [11896:00007-04101] Connection attempted on uai, but not configured in SMTP Internet Site Document

01/23/2004 08:25:42 SMTP Server: 10.5.1.32 disconnected. 0 message[s] received

I have an SMTP Internet Site Doc for uai and yesterday I had the same config, but no log problem.

Now these messages are filling the log!

Here are my document values:

not a website

Is the notesname of the server pdx3.collegenet.com? If not you should enter the notesname or enter * as Simon suggested.

I had this same problem. I had all kinds of SMTP site documents but none of my organizations were getting emails. Here is what I did.

I have five sites on my server. With four of them being actual organizations and one of them being the server.

Let’s say the servers host name is www.server.com which is in the NAB.

I then have four orgs setup with four Internet site documents and STMP inbound site document setup for them.

The error I kept getting was to my server. Let’s say Logan/Wolverine is my server name.

I then created a SMTP Inboud site document for my doman Wolverine. This was the org name and the host name. I also added the host name for this server. This fixed it. So what does this look like:

Org1

Internet site for Org1 to www.site1.com

SMTP Site for Org1 to mail.site1.com

Org2

Internet site for Org2 to www.site2.com

SMTP Site for Org2 to mail.site2.com

Org3

Internet site for Org3 to www.site4.com

SMTP Site for Org3 to mail.site3.com

Org4

Internet site for Org4 to www.site4.com

SMTP Site for Org4 to mail.site4.com

Wolverine (this is the servers domain)

Internet site for Org4 to www.server.com

SMTP Site for Org4 to Wolverine, mail.server.com

You don’t have to create organizations to have a internet site or smtp inbound site document.

Try it.

By gum, that’s a tricky one! Well, I run several smtp domains on the one server and I don’t have a problem, so here goes FWIW . . .First, you’ve specified the host names as full names rather than a domain name; I have just the domain names in my entries.

Secondly, you have specified the server, I have specified * as the server that hosts the site; I don’t care too much which server catches the mail.

Finally, I notice that if I restart the server, it will tell me of problems with the internet sites view; maybe that will show something up.

Other than that, I can’t think of anything else off-hand, but feel free to email me if you want other info.
