Help running Extension Manager

I am new to Lotus and am trying to use extension manager with Lotus Notes 8.5 on windows XP machine.I am running the trial version for Lotus Domino 8.5 and Notes 8.5.

So i follow the instruction as specified in the readme.txt file for the mail\extmail sample.

  1. Created dll,

  2. added entry of EXTMGR_ADDINS= nextmail.dll in ini file

  3. restarted Lotus Notes

But when i send a mail , extension manager does not seem to intercept it. In other words, it appears as if the MainEntryPoint is not getting called when Notes starts up and hence the callback is also not called.

Same is true for any extension manager sample i try to run, none seems to work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
