I have seen this ‘problem’ (might not be a problem, could be user error) a couple of times and am struggling to explain it.
Scenario;
User A sends out a weekly meeting repeated for one year.
User B accepts all instances, but then declines one per month, but requests to be informed of updates.
!* Accidentally, user B declines all repeats in one go.
User A reinvites User B, however the invite received only shows repeats for the next month rather than the whole year so the original year-long invite cannot be re-added to User B’s calendar.
Anyone know why this happens? I have no musings which make much sense so won’t add my suggestions at this stage.

most likely because, the user delined/keep me informed the 3 instances but when accidentally declining the remaining/do not keep me informed, only the 3 instances/keep me informed are sent when the user is reinvited. Have the chair delete the decline notices from the invitee before reinviting him/her
