HELP! One user can not access databases

I am going crazy, loosing my mind. I have one internet user who can not access any databases. He is successfully authenticating with the server but is denied access to the databases. I know this because when he tries to access the database he gets the message which states his name and “you are not authorized to access” and the path to the database. I verified his access in the ACL over and over and over again. He is in a group and everyone else in that group is getting in fine. I even added his name explicidly to the ACL and he still doesn’t get in. I use the address book to add his name so there is no typo issue. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE GIVE TO A CLUE O WHAT IS GOING ON!!!???

Thanks,

Kenn

In the group that he’s in, does his name have an @Domain after it? If so, you’ll need to remove it.

Also, have you tried running the “effective access” tool in the ACL manager to see what this tells you?

Emma.

No, his name does not have an @Domain after it. It’s an internet name for web access only.I used the “effective access” tool but can’t see how it would help me although there is a group on the list that I know the use does not belong to, yet that goup is there showing that hw belongs. What does that mean?

Is it possible that this user’s name is in one of your deny access groups? We’ve had problems like that with former employees rejoining the company.

No, great suggestion but he is not in a deny access group. Remember, he is authenticating, just not getting access to any databases even though he is in a group that has access, and others in that group are getting access.
