Help on password management (http users only)

Dear all,

Ok the senario is:

All our web users are kept in a secondary domino directory, which is has only got person doc & ($User) view from the original names & address template. This secondary directory is listed for web authentication in the directory assistance database for http authentication only.

We have been using this secondary domino directory for years, had no problem with http authentication.

Now we would like to allow our web user to manage their web passwords by themselves, so the question is appart from HTTPPasswordForceChange field needs to be set to “1”, what other things do I need to looking into to make it work?

any suggestions will be hight appreciated.

the registration template available from Lotus (domreg.nsf) has some code to allow users to change passwords.

not suggesting that you use this code, but if you review it, you may see examples of things you are looking for…
