Help needed with Roaming User setup

I’m a bit stuck at the moment trying to setup roaming users support at a potential Notes-site (client will be running a Proof-of-Concept for both Domino and Exchange). I managed to upgrade some users to roaming, the files have replicated to the Domino server and I am asked if I wish to update the files on the server upon exiting the Notes client. However, how do I start the Notes client and tell it which user I am and have it find my notes.id in my personal address book on the server? I currently have no option to do so, I can only start Notes with a id-file.

Since the documentation is not clear on this and I read different opinions, I have the following questions:

is it true that roaming does not work if you have the admin and or designer client installed?

is it true that roaming only works if I install the Notes client from the client only package?

do I need to install Notes with multi-user support to be able to use roaming?

Subject: Help needed with Roaming User setup

Q1 . is it true that roaming does not work if you have the admin and or designer client installed? to be verified,

but true for multi-user installation option which won’t appear with this kind of installation…

Q2 . is it true that roaming only works if I install the Notes client from the client only package?

to be verified…

Q3 . do I need to install Notes with multi-user support to be able to use roaming?

No roaming and multi-user are different process; by the way, best is to have user roam with multi-user options…
