Please could I ask for assistance? I need to setup a second Domino Server (6.5) on a Win 2003 SP1 Server. I have tried running the domino setup prgram but am getting various errors (the first was that I wasn’t authorized to replicate or copy names.nsf from the first server). Then after adding manager access in the ACL for names.nsf my next error was something like “entry not found in index” - error with updating network settings.
If anybody would be so kind could you list the steps on how to install a second domino server in the same domain? I really think I am doing something wrong.
ie could you start from the settings that I need to choose during the setup process and the relevent connection documents, etc that I would need to add.
this is what I did:
1.) Registered a new server “bes”.
2.) Installed domino 6.5 on my server
3.) chose these options during setup:
-setup an additional server - provided server id file created at registration.
-left just directory services (ldap) ticked
-added hostname of bes.mydomain.com
-under other domino server name i put my first main domino server - firstserver/domain and its internal ip address in optional network addresses
- setup as a configuration directory.
