Help: Generic source network failure

Hello

In my cluster nodes I see the message in the console appearing from time to time:

Generic source network failure

What does it mean? I did not find any explanation in IBM redbooks or knowlegebase or help files.

What impact does this failure make to the server?

Hi,

I had the same problem and I just figured out what was the cause. Check your IP settings, my DNS was wrong due to a recent network change.

the problem was due to that the sevrer was installed on a VMWARE (not recommended of course !!!) and it has an I/O disk errors. Fixing this and was ok.
