I was wondering if any one else using Domino 8.5.X on Linux is having this same problem or if it’s just me.
I noticed that PDF and Office 2007 attachments are not being indexed in applications running on the server (8.5.2 on Linux). I don’t see any error messages in the server log but when I search for a term that is in one of the attachments it is not found. I created a local replica of the app (Notes 8.5.2, Windows XP), indexed it and the search term is found in the attachment as you’d expect.
I even tried this with a new test database and couldn’t get it to work either regardless of the index options I used.
