Does anyone know if there is a console command to release held messages in the mail.box(s), or some other automated way I can possibly use with an event handler? Thanks in advance.
Subject: Regarding held mail
The problem with held messages is that they are Held in the first place because they are undeliverable. (Unless they entered that state because a mail rule specifically said to, which is a rarer possibility). Generally, if you want the piece of mail to deliver correctly, you’d need to edit it in mail.box and correct the address.
But if you just want it released, even if it means it gets bounced as a delivery failure, then the only way to release the held mail is to open the mail.box in Domino Administrator, and hit the Release button.
You can also be notified automatically when there is held mail in your mail.box, if that would help. Reference this document:

However, there is no console command to release held mail - you would need to use the administrator.
