I have created a datbase in Domino 5.11 initially. Than, now after exploring with Domino 7, I do my further enhancement via Domino 7. But I am not sure whether it can now still be open under Domino 5.11 as I have incorporated shared column in the latest database.
Subject: have anyone tested Domino 7 really backward compatible?
Most releases of Domino are backward and forward compatible with older versions of the Notes client (depending upon how many new features you use).
Domino is backward compatible with older versions, but it isn’t forward compatible. You can’t always port new developments to older systems.
Subject: *no time portal. you can’t use new features in the past. old features work in new releases.
