I need your help for a stupid thing i did. In the People and Groups window, in the People list in the Admin Lotus app i was taking screen shots for a guide but hit del by mistake. I have deleted a user, but have all there Data, messages and emails ect still intact inside Lotus.
My question is how do i restore the people profile to relate to the Emails that are already theres?
If i cant restore when i go to recreate the persons profile how to attach there emails to the new account?
Thanks for your time Daniel

Hi Daniel,All you did was to delete the Person Document out of the NAB. You have 2 options. Restore the Person Document from a backup of names.nsf or manually recreate the Person Document. To recreate the Person Document do the following.
-
From the People and Groups tab select “Add Person” from the purple banner. This will just create a new Person Document, not register a new person (just fyi)
-
Fill out all of the information in all of the fields in the Person Document as they were (if you can remember :))
-
Copy the user’s Public Key from his/her user ID into the “Notes Certified Public Key” field under the Certificates > Notes Certificates tabs.
Note: to copy the Public Key from the user ID do the following:
-
Make sure the user’s current ID is somewhere you can access it (you may want to ask them for the one on their workstation)
-
In the Admin Client go to Configuration > Tools > Certification > ID Properties
-
Path out to where the target user ID is
-
Type in the password for the user ID
-
Go to ‘Your Identity’ > Your Certificates > Other Actions > Mail, Copy Certificates (Public Key) > Copy Certificate
You have now placed the user’s Public Key on a clip board
- Paste the Public Key inside of the ‘Notes Certified Public Key’ field of the Person Document.
Done.
Again, you can do this or restore the Person document from a backup copy of names.nsf by performing a basic copy and paste, however you will have to do a CTRL V for the paste into the production NAB.
Hope this helps!
