Guide to debug java agents from notes in eclipse

How du you set notes/eclipse up so you can debug java agents.I would like to be able to step through my code the same way as in I’am used to in lotus script.

I have found the guides bellow on the internet and tried to follow the first one

http://blog.lotusnotes.be/domino/archive/2007-12-08-eclipse-agents.html

http://blog.balfes.net/index.php?entry=entry080125-101353

In eclipse I have added C:\Lotus\Notes\data\domino\java\NCSO.jar and

C:\Lotus\Notes\jvm\lib\ext\Notes.jar to the Java build path in my project

and I have access to the lotus script classes in eclipse when I’am creating a new class.

I have tried to setup the Run configurations for my project but I can’t get it to work.

If I run the code (My database is local) and choose “AgentRunner - lotus.notes” I get the followering error

“AgentRunner no arguments

Usage: java AgentRunner [] []

Maybe something is wrong in the connection property?

Any Ideas?

Subject: Did a doc on this some time ago.

I have a document I did up a while back that details how to do this for ND7 and Eclipse 3.2. The principal is still the same. Just this forum does not allow the attachment.

Will revise it and write it up for the wiki in the next day or so. But if you want a copy of the older doc just email at me at sod1684 @ ie.ibm.com

Put LDD request in the subject or it may get ignored. Thanks.

Subject: Thank you for your help and fast reply

I’am looking forward to read that document.

Subject: Didn’t get an email from you.

Should of pointed out I intentionally put spaces in my email address earlier. Need to be removed (if you sent the mail)

Subject: It’s great to put it at the wiki

I think it is a great idea to write it up for the wiki if you have time if not I can send you an email
