Is there a way to prevent the list of names in a group from expanding in the To: field when I send the group an e-mail message? I only want the group name to show, not all of the members names.
Thank you,
Michael Vazquez

Server-based groups should not be expanded by default. Personal groups HAVE to be expanded, since the mail router cannot know what your personal groups contain. If you need a group that stays collapsed, you would need to have it created in a public address book – and use the new group security features in order to keep the group membership list hidden if needed.

Personal groups (and this includes groups chosen from a local replica of the public nab or dircat) do have to be expanded into the transient field “Recipients”, which the various routers trim down and eventually remove as the e-mail wends its way to all recipients. To supress expansion in the To, cc:, and bcc: fields see http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/0/936f398bba480e9485256eee004d93cc

no names are expanded and no one can see anyone elses name.
