Group Expand Issues

When I put Group name in sendTo field,then press F9, it expands all members in the group.My user1 did same precess,just got GroupName append “@doaminName”;

user2 can expand only group in local address book rather that public NAB;

I am sure we are using same mail template, but different version of Notes CLient:

Mine is 602CF2

User1 is 601CF1

User2 is 6.5.1

I’ve searched this forum,all mentioned $ExpandGroups field in Memo Form. We are using the same form, why get different result?

Is it related Notes client version?

Hi,

How is the field “Recipient name type-ahead” in the location document filled in? It should be “Local then Server” for groupexpansion of groups in the Domino Directory.

Yes, We all set “Local then Server”.

But user can only expand local group.

I can expand local and public group.

I thought I figured it out.

The reason I can expand local and public group is due to I have replica of NAB on my local and set it to my local names address book.

So I supposed ExpandGroup would not work on server.

If the group is in the public nab and he is disconnected groups expand. If connected they don’t. If the group is only in the personal nab it doesn’t expand.

I don’t understand what means “disconnected”.

We all opened mail box on server, it should be connected.

I can expand local and public group. some users can only expand local group.
