Forgive me if this confusing. I’ll do my best to explain…
SUMMARY:
Sending email from the outside to a group internet address gets sent to each group member’s internet address listed in their person document and not their Notes address.
OUR SETUP:

Our parent company hosts the primary email domain we send and receive as

We host a secondary email domain

All email gets forwarded from the primary to the secondary

All users have the internet addresses setup to the primary email domain
ISSUE:
Before upgrading to v8.0.2, we were running v6.5.6. Group emails sent from the outside would be routed to the group members using the notes address (name/domain) as specified in the member list of the group.
After upgrading to v8.0.2, group emails sent from the outside would be routed the group members using the internet address as indicated in the group members person document.
The group email now takes the following path:

the group email hits our primary email server (external server)

our primary email server forwards the group email to our secondary email server

the group email gets sent to the group member’s respective email servers

Domino then routes the email to the group members internet address (in person doc)

the email then hits our primary email server (external server)
-
our primary email server forwards email to our secondary email server

the email then gets sent to group member respective email server
Does anyone have any idea as to why this changed after the upgrade and how do I get email, send to groups, to route to a users Notes address?
